Kcenter delivers sophisticated, intuitive Electronic Document Management, Business Process Workflow, Project Collaboration and Business Solutions to the Enterprise. Deployed over the Internet, the Kcenter product leverages the scalability and security of ownership of web technologies.

With the web browser as its interface, Kcenter's features are intuitive to use and globally accessible, removing geographical and technological barriers. Deployable and 'out-of-the-box', Kcenter provides all the required features to securely manage an organisation's documents and functionality for its employees to access the right information at the right time. By implementing a three-tiered architecture over a web infrastructure Kcenter scales from a few dozen users to thousands.

  • Library

    Library

    Powerful and robust electronic document management with secure storage enabling access to documents of any format including word processed, scanned images, technical CAD drawings, video clips, source code files and many more.

    The Kcenter system also manages document categorisation, version control with secure check-in and check-out, audit trails, access control, aliases, version references and compound documents (to manage large and complex documents).

  • Workflow

    Workflow

    The powerful workflow engine allows the creation of business process applications by non-programmers using a graphical 'drag & drop' process designer. Workflow tasks can be assigned to individuals or groups with varying security rights to preserve the integrity of documents and activities across the business process.

    Standard forms are automatically generated with all the relevant information and documents for a user to complete an assigned task. Alternatively, bespoke forms can be attached to workflows to provide a specific 'look & feel' if so desired. Workflow managers can dynamically track the status of a process graphically from within the web browser.

    Searching

    Kcenter's powerful search tools enable users to locate information within the Library, whether the information is contained within documents, news items, projects and discussion topics or,if it is about those items - such as the date they were created or the categorisation data under which they are stored. Search results can be summarised and highlighted thus enabling the user to quickly process a number of documents in the results list.

  • Project Collaboration

    Project Collaboration

    Projects enable the creation of secure virtual teams with designated members and co-ordinators. They also provide a private document store as well as news and discussion areas for members, and tasks allow the virtual team to organise activities efficiently. Each project also has its own virtual 'home page'.

  • Developer API

    Developer API

    Kcenter further provides an extensive Application Programmer's Interface (API) allowing developers to customise the product's functionality, as well as allowing integration with other applications. The API has been developed as a set of COM (component object model) objects that can be used in development suites such as Microsoft's Visual Studio, Inprise's PowerBuilder and Delphi as well as any other environments that support COM objects.
